Learning outcomes

This course deals with the introduction and fundamentals of the available and/or projected renewable energy technologies: wind, solar, biomass, geothermy, hydro and tidal energy. Upon completion students:

• Are detailed informed about the renewable technologies operation mechanisms and related applications

• Have gained a good understanding their strengths and weaknesses

• Are able to place the engineering technologies in context of the socio-economic, environmental and economic constraints they are meant to operate

• Are able to appreciate their potential applications
