Sustainable Transportation

Upon completion of the module, students will be able:

• Understanding of the importance of sustainable transportation and its role in addressing environmental and social challenges.

• Knowledge of current transportation systems and their impact on the environment.

• Familiarity with alternative modes of transportation and their advantages.

• Awareness of technological advancements in sustainable transportation and their potential applications.

• Exposure to successful examples of sustainable transportation from around the world.

• Ability to assess the economics of sustainable transportation and funding opportunities.

• Understanding of policy measures needed to support sustainable transportation and the role of government and organisations.

• Familiarity with strategies for encouraging sustainable transportation behaviors.

• Ability to consider the future of sustainable transportation and the trends to watch.

• Work with their fellow students, to create and present both at individual and group level a case study from its initial stages up to the final evaluation and finally to be able to propose new ideas and solutions.
